Highest personal, non-mortgage debt on the planet, two of top five most overpriced housing markets in the world, debt without job or wage growth, Ontario most indebted sub borrowing district on earth. On top of our most talented leaving for other nations to crush Canadian competition.

Yeah, we're getting beaten down to a pulp and the same system of interference continues. When the government predicts 1.8% growth in the economy for the next five years, you can be sure it won't crack 1.4. It will miraculously grow to 2.3% a few months before the next election (talk about gaming the nation). Our growth has been in public/government jobs, temp, part-time, contract and weak wage growth.

In short, we're doomed

A weaker balance sheet comes amid ongoing worries

over a trade dispute between the U.S. and China, which has already slowed Canadian exports and business investment.

Cry me a river ......

In its fall economic update on Monday, Finance Canada said the deficit would rise to $26.6 billion in 2019-20, up from an earlier projection of $19.8 billion.

Five , FIVE BILLION dollars?

Yes, but consider this:

30 Countries with the Highest and Lowest Debt-to-GDP Ratio - FactsMaps

Canada is 15th, USA is 30th. You may be closer to us now, this is from 2016. Regardless, we are seeing zero growth or major foreign investment in nearly every sector. On top of the debt issues I raised, especially personal.

It's a recipe for a collapse of our system, only for the benefit of a few loyal government patsies and their families. If you are taking on debt as a nation, at least you need to see private sector growth and a healthy consumption from the economy. It's not happening as so many Canadians are underwater with meager earnings and part-time work,

Financial doom and gloom being forecast by the far right National Post, with a Liberal Prime Minister in power. Quelle Surprise!!!

Stop quoting Conservative publications, like Conrad Black's rag. When will you right wingers stop taking your finanicial information from publications owned by billionaires, and start taking them from those with a strongly vested interest in putting the people first.

As long as right wingers continue to listen to the Koch Brothers, the Blacks, the Murdochs, the Mercers, or the Sinclairs for their business and financial information, they are going to hear that liberal policies bad, cutting taxes good, and nothing else.

Of course the billionaire media are saying that programs which have given Canadians the Highest Standard of Living in the first world are against THEIR interests. But as usual, they're lying. And it's time to stop listening to liars.

I don't care who won this election, Scheer or Trudeau, the economy is in horrible shape and is going to get much worse. Neither of them is going to upheave our system, that is our problem and I made it known to both through emails that they need to start paying attention. Civil liberties are being trampled on by a weak, lying, self serving, covert apparatus. I know for a fact, that American agencies that need to know, do know. You aren't seeing foreign investment, are you? We celebrate a World Jr Hockey championship as if we won the race the moon. We are by nature, a low performing society, thanks to decades of an expanding police apparatus and nepotism.

One major and quick decision Trudeau made was to allow jurisdictions to choose immigrants based on need. This is a good start. It's a sign he understands that Toronto in particular, is bankrupt and we are the least competitive nation in the G20. t still will not alter the police abuses that have created East Germany Light in Ontario, specifically.

There is no bright future for a system that exploits and destroys our most talented so that some low performing son of a B can get a plush, fat, overpaid govt. job. We aren't capitalist, and we have embraced all the great abuses socialism provides, even while beside the largest economy on he planet.

You've been a shill for corporate interests from day one, posting anti-Canadian bullshit about our economy and our relationship with the USA, attempting to poison that relationship and drive a wedge in the friendship and trading relationships with Americans. What kind of Canadian would sell out their own country in favour of the USA? You've been a lying piece of shit since you joined this forum, especially about all things related to the economy. Your claims that NAFTA screwed over Americans in favour of Canadians proved to be utterly false, and your buddy Trump didn't "fix it", he actually made things better for Canadians.

Now, you're lying again. Shilling for the National Post. Posting hating against Canadians. Again!

Hardly. I'm shilling for the Canadian people. The taxpayers. My family, my neighbours, my friends. The people.
