Do you know why there is no american "lend-lease" in modern Ukraine? Because everyone already knows that this money will be stolen. The advantages of Stalinist socialism - money and funds were for the benefit of the country and the people.

The Soviet Union practiced the most pure form of capitalism in the world. One were demand set the price without any regulation. You could buy anything, if you had the money.

It was called, "the black market."

College physics professors would quit their college teaching jobs to go work at toilet paper factories. They would steal toilet paper from work to sell it on the black market.

With the ban on private ownership of the means of production, it was still socialism. Under socialism, commodity-money relations and money are preserved, that is, some shortcomings remain from capitalism.
But the main disadvantages of capitalism are missing.

1. Denial - Lol! The problem is corruption, not capitalism.
2. Anger - It's the state's fault! Corruption due to bureaucracy, with a Free market this would not have happened
3. Bargain - What we need is not this kind of capitalism, but a Freer market one.
4. Depression - Why is corruption everywhere? Capitalism should work...
5. Acceptance - Capitalism is a monstrous system, that includes corruption and crime as indispensable elements.

The left already has a solution to simple poverty and our homeless problem; equal protection of the law for unemployment compensation in our at-will employment States.

It is not a political issue but an economic issue.
