Can Obama be the VP for Biden?

Legally?

What if he is on the ticket and the ticket wins; and then Biden steps down?

I think the Dims should go for it.
He absolutely can be Biden"s VP, but only if he has breast implants installed, wears a mini-skirt, goes topless on the beach and wears a mask for sure.

Obama was a racist and a divider. He set race relations back 60 years. Nobody but a fool would want him anywhere near the Presidency. He was the worst ever.

The 12th and 22nd Amendment prohibits it.

The 12th states that no person who is ineligible to run for the presidency can run for the vice presidency.

the 22nd Amendment makes Obama, Bush-43 and Bill Clinton ineligible to run for President and therefor ineligible to run for Vice President.

It's an odd combination of Amendments, that has only really applied to five people in our history, The three I mentioned above, Reagan and Eisenhower. It didn't apply to Jerry Ford since he had only served one partial term, and there was serious consideration to making him VP on Reagan's ticket.
No it doesn't, if it did Ted Cruz wasn't eligible

This is an example of where you have to use the text, and not the translations of amendments.

Ex: The 12th states that no person who is ineligible to run for the presidency can run for the vice presidency.

Actual Text: But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.

What does it mean to be constitutionally ineligible? The constitution in Article 2 only puts 2 requirements on a persons constitutional eligibility for the office. To be 35 years old, and a natural born citizen.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5:
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

And the 22nd amendment doesn't not change a persons eligibility to be president, but instead is only a prohibition against election.

The important text which gets mis-translated is when you combine:

But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
and
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice
