California is officially insane!

California is going to teach hispanic illegal aliens homosexual history

The idiocy of pile on crap after crap in teaching students low priority crap is amazing. We fargin can't afford this crap. It does a disservice to our future b/c students are the future.

What many people don't know, is moonbat has seem to miss the boat on the finance side of education. There ARE thousands of homes still in limbo due to experience of foreclosures ontop of the preexisting foreclosure conditions resulting in loss revenue to education and moonbat has done a piss poor attempt to address the problem. Passing the dream act and this lastest episode only proves he stubbornly is using failed liberal policy in addressing the financial distress of California.

To pile on even further, the no child left behind does nothing to motivate students to learn. So shit in = shit out. If you don't understand the fundamentals then how in the hell can the student proceed to learn advance material????So with the dream act, will only produce a bad product, an indoctrinate product geared towards socialism. EU is a mess and why can't servants of gov't see this. Arrogancy gets in the way.

Many innovators were considered insane at the time.

Not seeing anything here of value.

How is knowing about the obscure gay person who did something that wasn't terribly important going to help make these kids better workers?

Schools need to stop the political indoctrination bullshit and get back to the basics. Teach them to read, write, do math, and know some simple science and basic history.

Is this asking too much?

OMG. So insane. Gay people. OMG. They're gay. Oh shit. What do we do about this? Lets kill some fags!

Being Gay isn't insane, wasting money and time teaching this in school is insane numbnuts. Grow up.

Yeah we can tell how you feel about gays from comments like this:

You fudge lovers will say anything.

It's beyond your comrehension that gay people deserve respect for their own accomplishments and you think he should grow up. Moron.

With all of the bullying and gay bashing going on in US schools, this law could be a good thing for more than one reason. Perhaps teaching kids about the contributions some gay innovators have made to the world will make some of those kids think twice about beating up that gay kid.

I think Calf should use its money on more important things. Like reading, writing and arithmetic .. This should be a class that a student has to pay for not use tax dollars for period. Our education is gone down so much over the years and you dumb asses want to have their tax dollars going into an elective subject. They have cut programs such as art and music in many states.. The tax dollars in Calf which is BROKE by the way could be used in better ways..If a student wants to know about this subject then they should pay for it.

Uh, no, probably not.

I'm always amazed at people who completely forget what they were like in High School or how teenagers actually think.

In California, the gay kids have been learning their history for years. All this law did was ADD gay and lesbian history to a long list that is supposed to be represented in social studies classes, such as African-Americans or Mexican-Americans.

Social studies IS part of schools curriculum.

So much of California's educational basic classes have been removed to make room for social indoctrination that the graduates can barely read as it is. Ethnic and special interest history has replaced American history to the point where high school graduates have no idea that there were ever colonies that had a revolution for freedom.

I would much rather have them know practical things about social studies than things that make people feel better about themselves.

The Ignorant American Voter - US News and World Report

Unfortunately, Americans are doing little to educate themselves about their leaders and their policies, says bestselling author and George Mason University historian Rick Shenkman in his new book Just How Stupid Are We? Facing the Truth About the American Voter. Shenkman cites some damning facts to make his case that Americans are ill-prepared to guide the world's most powerful democracy. Only 2 of 5 voters can name the three branches of the federal government. And 49 percent of Americans think the president has the authority to suspend the Constitution.

Yup. That's not important stuff. We need to tell them about a cross-dressing stagecoach driver...

And yet:

  • Having a Gay-Straight Alliance in school was related to more positive experiences for LGBT students, including: hearing fewer homophobic remarks, less victimization because of sexual orientation and gender expression, less absenteeism because of safety concerns and a greater sense of belonging to the school community.
  • The presence of supportive staff contributed to a range of positive indicators including fewer reports of missing school, fewer reports of feeling unsafe, greater academic achievement, higher educational aspirations and a greater sense of school belonging.
  • Students attending schools with an anti-bullying policy that included protections based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity/expression heard fewer homophobic remarks, experienced lower levels of victimization related to their sexual orientation, were more likely to report that staff intervened when hearing homophobic remarks and were more likely to report incidents of harassment and assault to school staff than students at schools with a general policy or no policy.

2009 National School Climate Survey

So, having these discussions in class actually reduces the incidents of anti-gay bullying.

And if that doesn't work, we can send them to the Death Camp of Tolerance!
