If you want to bust up Google... that's fine I guess, but the reality is, there will just be a new Google. The algorithms that make Google a success, are going to end up at a new company, and everyone will go to that company to get the same service.

So you can bust it up, but in a year, it'll be just another company that holds 90% of all searches. People will go to the best search engine. Google has the best search engine. You blew up Google, they'll just create a new company with the best search engine, and everyone will go there.

This is a pointless waste of time. If you really want to do that, ok... but it's a waste of time. It will be the same point, with the same algorithms, controlling the same market.

This isn't like the telephone company where you blow it up, and then you end up with different companies operating in the same space, because you can't lock down a customer base, like the phone companies did. You can't be trapped with AT&T, and Sprint, and so on.

The internet means that if you break up a company into 5 parts, everyone will go to whichever part is the best, and the other 4 will die off.

We know that, because it has already happened. Yahoo is tiny, and Lycos is a joke, and all the other search engines have withered away into nothingness. Breaking up Google, will just re-enact what we've already seen.

I’m really surprised that they are as transparent as they are
Unfortunately it's not that simple. If anyone you communicate with uses Google products then you and your information can be swept up in Google's effort to provide their customer with a better online experience, which coincidentally has the added benefit of possibly earning them more money.

Feds Launch Probe Into Project Nightingale, Which Secretly Gave Google Access to Americans' Medical Data

Google's massive move into the medical information field known as Project Nightingale may be creating a database of patient information that is not compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and which does not require the consent of patients to release their personal information, according to multiple sources. Not only has a whistleblower posted a video online that raises questions about the ethics and legality of Project Nightingale, but a federal probe into the project has been announced.

Project Nightingale is a collaboration between Google and the second largest health care provider in the U.S., Ascension. Information, already accessible by Google staff, has not been edited to remove identifying pieces of personal information, such as names and medical histories, according to The Guardian.

Ascension, which employs 34,000 providers across 21 states, has not informed their patients or doctors about the data sharing, according to Ars Technica.

Google is stupid. They let Democrats in and they destroyed google. People should be careful about hiring Democrats especially to management positions. Democrats think it is okay for a executive to have sex with an intern on the clock on company property. They will also use your company to push their politics and not care if it damages the company or opens it up to competition.
