He'll announce that he has appointed Nancy Pelosi to the post of Ambassador to Iran, and Harry Reid to the post of Amassador to Iraq.

They're busy. He'll have to appoint some more college roommates to those ambassador posts. Whatever fraternity brothers he has left that aren't already heading up FEMA or the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation.

Or previous underlings of Karl Rove... oh, wait, they've got jobs as US Attoneys now.

Do you realize what a no-issue this is ? Name me one President in the last century that did not include, hire, appoint, promote or otherwise reward his friends, family or party members.

Fine. Then send your aides to Congress, put them on TV, put them under oath and say so. If it's such a non-issue... just get up there, provide your testimony and we can put it all behind us.

and cave in to the partisan witch hunt ? Congress seems to be mistaking its attempts at entrapment as oversight. By all means, lets have tons of hearings and see who we can trip up in the web of technicalities.

if there is nothing wrong with what happened, how can there be something "technically wrong" with what happened?

I agree, Scooter Libby is the perfect example. The Damnocrats have nothing on the Republicans, so they question them under oathe multiple times until their memories fail, and then they get them for perjury.

It's complete bullshit.

If you've got nothing to hide, get under oath and prove it.

If you do have something to hide... RUN AWAY!!!!

Bush thinks his supporters are stupid. The prove of this is he expects them to believe truthfulness comes from testifying under the cloak of secrecy while NOT under oath and NO transcripts.

Bush'es Mo has always been identical to the con artist. The word con is short for confidence thus the full name of the art is confidence artist.

The confidence artist prides themselves in gaining the full confidence of their mark followed by sucker time.

The entire Bush plead thourghout his watch has always been "trust me" the same plead as the con artist.

With attorneys involved ??? Surely you jest !!
if they did nothing wrong, then they did nothing wrong.... no jesting involved at all.... lawyers cannot turn innocence into guilt. If what Rove, Gonzales, Miers and Bush did was completely above board and totally within the scope of their prerogatives, then they have nothing to hide. If you believe that the President and his attorney general can fire US attorneys for no other reason than they don't fall in line lock step with the administration's political philosophy, then what is there to worry about?
