Britain First leader Paul Golding charged under the Terrorism Act

Leader of far-right group Britain First charged under Terrorism Act

Hmmm.Extremist making his way back from his Moscow paymasters. Throw away the key.

The leader of far-right political group Britain First has been charged with an offence under the Terrorism Act after allegedly refusing to give police access to his phone.

Paul Golding, 38, was stopped at Heathrow Airport in October on his way back from a trip to the Russian Parliament in Moscow by officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.

He refused to give the pin codes for a number of his electronic devices, police said.

Golding, of Bexley, south east London, was later charged with refusing to comply with a duty under Schedule 7 of the act.

No mention of any probable cause to suspect that he was actually involved in anything illegal. He's a “terrorist” for the horrible crime of wanting to protect his privacy, against what appears to be an unwarranted fishing expedition. And for holding right-wing political views.

Thank you, Tainted Tommy, for once again reminding us Americans why it is that we kicked you British savages out of our country almost two and a half centuries ago, and why we included, in the Fourth Amendment to our Constitution, explicit protections against exactly this sort of abuse.

Our security services have a duty to protect us from this sort of trash.

You'd be better off living in North Korea, youd be right at home

The Brits could really use a Constitution. In every sense of the word.

You are not wary of "terrorism" as a charge for someone who isn't really charged, based on actual evidence, with preparing acts of terrorism? Yeah, he's an odious figure, but...

BTW, everything okay with you and yours after Dennis?
The act is wide ranging . He has obviously been up to something but I suspect its low level. We shall see when it comes to court. Dennis passed us by a bit. Lots of flooded roads but everyone is safe, thanks.
