Britain has criminals and their criminals use guns....they can't keep them off of the island.
Two shootings that just happen show one of the cultural differences between British shootings and American shootings. In America, our criminals use cars for their drive by shootings. In Britain, their criminals use mopeds, or motorcycles with one guy driving the motorcycle or moped, and the guy in the back doing the shooting...
The problems with the two types?
Cars are bigger and can get tied up in traffic...which is why American gangs are now trying to shoot each other on freeways.....easier to flee the scene.....but, the shell casings from the guns will remain in the car.......so no fingerprints left at the shooting, if they don't use gloves to load the guns...
In Britain, the benefit, they can maneuver in and out of traffic and can drive down very narrow routes....but, they drop their shell casings all over the scene.....

Another difference......American criminals shoot to kill.....British criminals, in the past, have primarily shot people to wound them, I think they do this because they get lighter sentences than if they kill their victims...but this is also changing as the drug gangs get taken over by foreign immigrants...who are far more violent than British citizens.
