If you look at the video, you can see several instances where the gun she was holding was right in front of her on the body cam. There’s no way she didn’t see it. As a trained officer with that many years, she is also well aware of situational awareness, and therefore has no excuse anyway. When she yelled taser, she was obviously performing for the body camera.

The Officer isn’t out of the woods yet, by any means. At the very least, the city is getting ready to write another big check. We’ll see how the investigation shakes out on the officers actions.
