Getting something nuclear to explode is actually extremely difficult, unless you are mindless Soviet drone, that ignored a dozens safety warnings, and orders protesting minions to jack up the reactor.

Something that bright for that long, is more likely something petrol based.

Getting something nuclear to explode is actually extremely difficult,

I'm not saying it was a nuclear bomb...it could have been nuke waste or something that happened to be in the explosion.

The radioactive particles would go up in smoke & drift to any place the smoke went.

I was hoping HBO would have the courage and integrity to do their homework about radiation and consult even 1 nuclear scientist or radiobiologists. Or even read the U.N. Chernobyl Forum Report. But nooo…they decided that talking to journalists, historians and antinuclear activists was much better.
