Awesome! Good on Denmark. Anything to open the Black Sea blockade and also prevent another front via Moldova. The countries that announced new packages included Italy, Denmark, Greece, Norway and Poland, Austin told reporters following a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group. Denmark would provide a harpoon launcher and missiles to defend Ukraine's coast, Austin said.

Denmark is providing Ukraine with a Harpoon launcher and missiles to defend its coasts amid Russia's special military operation, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Monday.

I wonder how easy it would be to block the shipping channels or just simply mine them.

Russia is just in blockade mode right now so the ports can be reopened quickly after a peace agreement.

I have a feeling if Ukraine fucks around it's going to find out.

The Harpoon missiles are not a quick fix, they will take time to be recommissioned and for training. Maybe that has already began. There were other countries that also offered Harpoons, but the shore-based system uses a booster rocket that the ship based missiles don't have.

I'm hoping Denmark's announcement is just to break the ice. Norway could provide NSM and have them up and running in a few weeks, vs. several months for the Harpoons.

As far as British warships in the Black Sea, I think that's a non-starter. The straits are closed to all warships. Maybe an unarmed minesweeper could get through, but no armed escort ships.
