Yes, the right want "national unity", they have flags and songs and pledges of allegiance and all of that. But they want "national unity" on their terms and ONLY on their terms.

"Either you're with us, or against us", it's that simple. If a right winger wants to spend lots of money to build a wall, then anyone who opposes that wall is "anti-American". If the right winger wants to ban gay marriage then you're "anti-American" if you oppose that ban.

Really it's simple bullying.

I'm on the left and I believe in national unity. But I also believe in freedom, equality and rights. I think life is a balance, when "national unity" becomes too much, then people's freedoms get trampled on, then what's the point of "national unity"?

You don't want "national unity" where everyone gets one person, one vote. All of a sudden this freedom to decide how the country is run gets called "mob rule".

The right is all for saving money, except when they're the ones who want to spend it. Hence why they never come out of office having reduced anything to do with money.

Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Ohio, Tennessee.

Every single one of these states voted for Trump. A surprise? No.

In 2015 support for gay marriage rose to 60%, which means 40% of people oppose it. So when did the right want to ban gay marriage? Well, today, yesterday, the day before, last year, last decade, last century. You know. Always.

Here's a map, the bluer it is, the more support. Red means more than 50% oppose it. Oh, two right wing states.

Without judges enforcing the constitution, it wouldn't have happened in a lot of states, especially some of the ones I showed before.
