Macaroni is clued up, then, and the most important variant, N501Y, is not that important. The other variants are likely not dangerous and we’ve yet to to see an actual publication that shows evidence to the contrary, most of the sensationalism has come from a media that is not that well educated. The Pfizer vaccine, for example, uses an already mutated mRNA that most likely bypasses the threat of mutations, though can still alert immune system surveillance. Badger will be vaccinated on Saturday with the Pfizer vaccine.

But this is also the South African variant, and it first occurred in China, not Brazil, not South Africa. The report in post #215 also names another found in Japan: E484K. This is also a lab variant, and we have already posted on it. This confusion will continue until mutations are precisely named and their original appearance is documented.
