Stupidity? Border barriers have worked in every country they're being used, including here in the United States. The barriers that were replaced (all 470 miles) were worthless and didn't accomplish a thing. In many cases, they only prevented vehicles from entering the country.

A GAO report from 2018 said that from 2007 to 2015 Customs and Border Patrol spent around $2.3 billion to build up 654 miles of physical barriers. Trump spent over $15 billion to rebuild the same physical barriers. Basically Trump Swamp Cronies stole that money!!!
