As of 2008, in my home county in NH, each of the the two major parties register about 30% of the voters. So having 22% identify with the Tea Party after only one year of activism should bode very well for the Tea Party and the candidates who woo their support.

Why, that number is nearly as large as the number of stoners in this nation.

And we all know how much poltical power the stoners wield, right?

The TP will be marginalized by the GOP the moment it moves too far off the reservation.

Its funds will dry up, its organizers will follow the money, and it will be another interesting populist historical footnote in US history.

It's because most of the people in this country are tired of both the dems and repubs and the politics as usual in Washington. The TEA PARTY represents all the people in this country that want to take the country back from the government that has become too large and overbearing. When the unions call for the TEA PARTY to be taken out they are about to find out most of their members also identify with the TEA PARTY. Just who do these unions think we are? Believe it or not, I kinda like Beckel.... he's as partisan as they come, but he makes no bones about it. You have to at least respect that. Plus, given his work with addicts, he seems to have a good heart.
