Bull Ring @Bluzman61 Let's talk Sports.

This is easily found with a google search.
So, I won't ask the question, just some info, which you can add too.

Famous Athletes that have a given birth name that is different than what they are known by.

For Example.

Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr, both have the first name George.
There are some good ones out there.
One at a time.
I'll give you two. Roy Halladay's first name is/was Harry, and Bo Jackson's first name is Vincent.
I have another two-part question for you, again concerning the age of baseball players. Who was the youngest player to win a batting title and who was the oldest to do so? Hint - The youngest happened in the 1950's, the oldest within the last 16 years.
Hey, Winco, my friend, I noticed you're posting on OTHER threads right now. Would you please care to answer my latest two-part question? Thanks. I WILL be be parting this site very soon, I need to get ready so I can go "oot" and "aboot" again today. I'll be joining my friends at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner, drink, and trivia playing. I most likely won't be back on here until after 9PM Central Time. So, ciao for now.
OK, while you're thinking about that two-part question about batting titles, I have a much easier question for you. Which player holds the single season record for home runs by both a shortstop AND third baseman?

And any time you want to jump back into this thread, please do so. I'm starting to worry that you MAY have been abducted by a group of Crazy Canucks, eh? You DO live perilously close to Canada, make SURE they don't steal you from us here in the US, and turn you into a socialist sex slave! THAT would suck. But all kidding aside, I hope you're OK and return to this thread in the near future. Thank you. And please don't forget about my two previous baseball questions.

Sorry, been busy.

A-Rod
Chipper Jones ?

My baseball Card collection brings back a lot of old memories.

Youngest: Al Kaline

Oldest: Maybe Miguel Caberra ?

You are correct for A-Rod having hit the most home runs in season by a shortstop. Nicely done! Great guess with Chipper Jones, A-Rod ALSO holds the record for most home runs in a season by a third baseman! He did this after he joined the Yankees. It seems the Yanks had some guy named Jeter at shortstop, so A-Rod moved to third base. It's good to see you back on here, I hope you are doing well.

Which HOF'er caught the first NFL completion thrown by Brett Favre?

You are correct with Al Kaline, well done! Nice guess with Cabrera, it was Barry Bonds, at age 42 in 2004 who was the oldest baseball player ever to win a batting title. Have you got a question or questions for me?

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it was the same player for both SS and 3B.
I was so pissed when ARod bolted for the Rangers, claiming, it wasn't about the money. BS

Oh yeah, you're in Washington State and the Mariners would've been your favorite team when A-Rod played for them. Was Randy Johnson leaving the Mariners the same type of thing, where he would play somewhere else if they offered him more money?

Check out RJ's stats the year he got traded to Houston.
He was a whiner and a quitter.
He was an Awesome pitcher, I'm also pissed about the way he quit on the Mariners.
Same with Griffey.

Hey, Winco, my friend, I'll be oot and aboot again this evening. I most likely won't be returning here until after 9PM Central Time tonight. I'll "see" you then.

Hey, Winco, how YOU doin'? I'm doing pretty good myself, I had a nice evening. I enjoyed some time at my local Buffalo Wild Wings, saw a friend there, ate a nice dinner, drank a little beer, and played some trivia. I did a little shopping at my local Walgreens and local grocery store. So please fire away with your next question(s) when you're ready. And I hope you've had a good day.

Plenty of players have hit 4 Homeruns in a game.
Which of those players had 6 total hits, among his 4 HR's.
Only player with 6 hits, including 4 HR's.

It's good to see you on here, my friend. Very good question. I know of a few players that hit four homers in a game, just not who had six hits in that game. I'll guess Mark Whitten, my backup answer is Shawn Green, my backup to my backup answer is Lou Gehrig.

And for some reason, the name Jim Bottomley comes to mind.

And my backup answer is correct! I DID however misspell Mark Whiten's name. For some reason I always remember incorrectly that his last name has TWO T's! AND I did NOT look up the answer BEFORE giving you my answer(s). I HAD to look this one up, I was ITCHIN' to know the answer! So once again, YOU'RE WELCOME. Here's a question for you - Which player or players holds/hold the all-time record for home runs in a season by a second baseman?

Hint - One site I found this info on lists two players tied for the most home runs in a season by second basemen, the other site for some reason lists the one player with two LESS home runs for the season, even though his total for the season was the same as the other player's total. So I'm asking for both second baseman's names. One player did it LONG ago, during the Babe Ruth era, the other very recently, within the last five years.

Yo, Winco, my friend, I hope you're having a good extended weekend. Feel free to come back to this thread any time.
