These guys singlehandedly influenced genres from heavy metal to grunge. Their first hit was Summertime Blues in 1968, and in the past year they released an amazing CD and a live DVD from Germany. They had a fascinating history, and I saw them twice in the past two years. They were the tightest, most powerful band I have ever seen.
