Correct .. if it's your flag ... you can burn it as political speech ... with a few common sense restrictions ... cotton or hemp material please, the synthetics produce poisonous gases when burned ... and don't be like Californians and burn your flags in tinder dry woodlands ... God that's annoying ...

Clean up after yourselves or burn where it's safe to leave the ashes behind ...
