…and weren’t they very well practiced at slavery when they heartlessly collected black slaves for export to the America’s.

Wrong again. It was Anthony Johnson (a black man who had black indentured servants). Those ind. servants ran away (from a black owner...gee I wonder why).

He sued them in court and won "indentured servitude for life" which is SLAVERY.

But I'm sure you have a whole different story to tell.

I'm sure the blacks that owned 50 or 60 slaves bought only family members...they must have had some big ass families!

Muskets with fifty yard accurate ranges and cannon that couldn’t fire fire much beyond the surf line. The whites weren’t running around the African boondocks chasing down blacks who knew the territory like the back of their hands, that was blacks profiting from the misery of other blacks. Without the black slavers capturing and selling other blacks, there would have been no African slave trade.

Although the Arabs are not white, they are Caucasians. And they were buying and selling enslaved people when their European cousins lived in mud huts. And by the 1400s, they were still buying and selling enslaved people after slavery, and even serfdom had disappeared from western Europe to be replaced by tenant farming. Still, I hear no call for Arabs to pay reparations.

No Anthony Johnson was not the first. Hugh Gwynn enslaved John Punch more than a decade before Johnson and Johnson is not the one who made slavery legal. Now don't try showing that white supremacist crap that makes the claim using this as a picture of Anthony Johnson:

This guy's name is Louis Hayden. And since the first photograph was not taken in America until the 1830's, there can be no photo pictures of Anthony Johnson.

How Many Slaves Did Blacks Own?

So what do the actual numbers of black slave owners and their slaves tell us? In 1830, the year most carefully studied by Carter G. Woodson, about 13.7 percent (319,599) of the black population was free. Of these, 3,776 free Negroes owned 12,907 slaves, out of a total of 2,009,043 slaves owned in the entire United States, so the numbers of slaves owned by black people over all was quite small by comparison with the number owned by white people. In his essay, " 'The Known World' of Free Black Slaveholders," Thomas J. Pressly, using Woodson's statistics, calculated that 54 (or about 1 percent) of these black slave owners in 1830 owned between 20 and 84 slaves; 172 (about 4 percent) owned between 10 to 19 slaves; and 3,550 (about 94 percent) each owned between 1 and 9 slaves. Crucially, 42 percent owned just one slave.

54 blacks out of nearly 320,000 free blacks owned 50-60 slaves. Only 3,776 free blacks out of that 320,000 owned slaves at all. That's just over 1 percent of all free blacks in America in 1830. Blacks did not make slavery legal in this country. So you racists can just stop with the diversions and grow up.

Actually the slaves were enslaved by other blacks, and sold to white slave traders, who sold them to people in the thirteen colonies, and then the United States.

Until modern medicine was invented after the slave trade ended whites could not enter the interior of Africa because they lacked resistances to African diseases.

"Beware, beware the Bight of Benin, one comes out when thirteen go in." Slave ships had large crews because the mortality rate was so high among crew members. That's one reason carrying slaves was so profitable for ship owners, only the surviving crew members had to be paid. Sailors got paid at the END of the voyage.

You are right; the area was called the white man graveyard. Half of the Europeans who went to sub-Saharan Africa died in the beginning. The sailors were so afraid that many refused to leave their ships. If it had not been for the extreme poverty in Europe at the time, the slave ship would not have had crews.
