The Bee Hive State
I saw Birdman tonight. The plot of the movie isn't something I would be interested in normally it is about has been celebrity wanting to be seen as a revered actor in theatre, but Michael Keaton did a great acting job and so his nervous breakdown drew me in. It's supposed to be a dark comedy but it just felt stressful to me, maybe it's because of the mental instability and suicidal vibe it just bothered me. The character struggles with the desire of his image status relevance and regrets.

Great movie- not for everyone but I think its a great movie- loved all the performances in it- Michael Keaton was great but the big surprise was Emma Stone.

Gotta go with the OP here...did every character have to be batshit crazy?
It's like a neurosis convention.
Felt like a 70's Woody Allen movie.

What is hard to believe is this film won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
Best Picture?
I don't think anyone would dispute the acting was top knotch...but best picture?

The only surprise is that Emma Stone keeps getting work.
