Pundit Who's Often Wrong Thinks Hillary Is Toast In 2016, If She Even Runs

Because he is so often wrong, we can assume that the opposite will come true.

If Hillary Clinton had any doubts about her chances in 2016, she might be reassured by Bill Kristol's latest column.

Undeterred by his famously spotty track record — and by every public poll showing Clinton miles ahead of her prospective Democratic rivals — Kristol is skeptical of the former secretary of state's prospects in her party's primary.

Hillary is very likely to be out of step with the Democratic primary electorate in 2016—too close to Wall Street, too establishment, a prominent part of an administration that employed drone strikes and used the NSA in all sorts of dastardly ways. For Democrats in 2016, Hillary Clinton might be too much of a .  .  . Clinton Democrat. She’ll have a tougher nomination fight than everyone now expects.

Punditry is a great job if you can get it. No credentials. No track record. No nothing to prove you know what you're talking about.

America: What a country -- you can get paid to talk out of your ass.

Here's what he said in 2006:

“If [Hillary Clinton] gets a race against John Edwards and Barack Obama, she’s going to be the nominee. Gore is the only threat to her, then. … Barack Obama is not going to beat Hillary Clinton in a single Democratic primary. I’ll predict that right now.” —William Kristol, Fox News Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006

He's going the way of Karl Rove with some serious credibility issues. As I recall Kristol "discovered" Sarah Palin and started dragging his fellow GOP leaders to Alaska to meet her when she had just assumed office as governor. That's reason enough to blow the guy off a long time ago.

2016 is still a long way off.

And Republicans might do a reversal and become sane again.

Wait a minute..what am I saying!

Hillary's got a lock.

one of the few USMB bets I'll take is that Hilly WON'T get the Dem nomination in 2016

Hillary will be the next president. She not only is currently popular, she has a "D" next to her name, and most Americans now want the government to hold their hands and wipe their asses, so the Dim will win.

And that is why BridgeGate is so very important. The best thing the GOP had against her was a guy who was seriously working both sides of the aisle for 2016 and had a 70%+ approval rating in the northeast.

And now a dozen of his current and previous aides are being subpoenaed as we speak. The lead investigating prosecutor is the same guy who put Blagojevich in the pen. It's looking bad for the GOP's go-to guy. And remember, Blagojevich just made some comments in a phone call, and look where he is now.

Reid Schar was the lead prosecutor in both trials of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, ending with Blagojevich’s conviction on sweeping corruption charges and 14-year prison sentence.

Kristol's been wrong more than Biden. LOL He's have a point if the Clinton's don't make the central DLC argument: We want to preserve govt sponsored health insurance to those who don't have it privately; we want to overturn Citizens United and get transparency into elections; we want to preserve Roe; we want progressive taxes, and WE HAVE TO ELECT A DEMOCRAT TO DO THAT BECAUSE THE GOP IS MADE UP OF PEOPLE WHO WANT THE OPPOSITE, so let's be the big tent party.

If Obama's win, and Gore's "loss," didn't show the left that this Naderesque Nadir lemming approach is a cluterfk nothing will.

If she runs and wins it'll be sort of like Ike. Nobody was really sure if he was really a republican, but we were looking for an adult to clean up the mess.

Yeah that whole "look at how nicely I can work with democrats" part of the Christie narrative is what's come back to haunt him worse than the typical hour long traffic tie up on the GWB

With those credentials, Kristol is eminently qualified for the Democrat Party nomination in '16.
