Now it's a far tougher task to reign them in especially with the track record of big businesses in Europe who will apply pressure with their governments to look the other way. When it comes time to deal with issues of principle, they will rarely step up if there is an easy buck to be made. The partisan politics are just another reason why China is going to win. Patriotism is dead, replaced with treasonous "leaders" at all levels, while police agencies sit back and do little. I don't think Western citizens even realize how precarious their liberty is. Thanks primarily to leaders of the past, and today, the weakest leadership in Western history.

Any action against China has to be done through international co-operation. Trumps "strategy" lacked any credibility and was designed to appease the dribblers amongst his support.

Bidens approach is wider ranging and one would hope it woud be more effective.

After all, we cant have a nation building its economy through slave labour.

Also, Biden is wisely meeting with Putin. I say wisely as Trump had the understanding that rather than taking the age-old failed intel direction of isolating Russia (much of it driven by poor, self serving intel analysts in Europe who convinced USA that Russia was the bigger threat), Trump believed it was smart to discuss with Russia those few mutual interests. Which basically begin and end with China. That worries China as they understand how Russia can counter Chinas influence if they become more suspicious of China.

The CCP have the same goals today as yesterday, they are just going to be a little more quiet about it because they desperately fear the U.S pushing investigations and isolating them.

America has to keep at it and not be fooled this time. China still has the goal of conquering Taiwan and destroying America. You listen to their words "no longer is the worlds fate decided by a few countries". China is trying to usurp the Western powers so that they can have the greatest level of influence. They know this only happened if a weak America is on the world stage.

Now is the time for the U.S to flex their muscles, yes, even in the face of their allies. In fact, especially in their faces. They need to believe America is going to fight and win to be #1.
