Biden to double minimum wage

After all that fat cat socialism under the Blob, Biden has some real useful present for the populace: An increase of the federal minimum wage by more than 100 %.

Something tells me you have never been a small business owner.
Something tells me small business owners complaining about a Minimum wage are just lousy Capitalists who can only make it on the back of Cheap labor in our First World economy.
That proves my guess is correct. You have no clue how difficult it is and how many expenses small business owners incur to make their business profitable. The profit margin is typically small, a $15 an hour MW all but guarantees a secondary wave of closures.
You seem to have even less understanding. Business can simply pass on some costs to the consumers like they do for everything else they can get away with. Why are right wingers so disingenuous?

Business can simply pass on some costs to the consumers like they do for everything else they can get away with.

and if the consumer can't afford the new prices?

SHould they rob a bank?

How is it a lie? The richest can afford it, why shouldn't those rich enough to be paid thirty dollars an hour?

You said consumers, like the guy making $30/hr, can afford to pay more, because they'll make more, after the minimum wage is hiked to $15.

If you can't explain how, just say so.

Or admit you lied.

I don't need to lie, unlike right wingers who have nothing but fallacy.

A higher minimum wage puts an upward pressure on wages. The private sector is a price taker not a price maker since that is a function of Government and done by the public sector under the statutory authority of (the socialism of) Law.

I don't need to lie,

But you still did.

A higher minimum wage puts an upward pressure on wages.

It's quicker if you just admit you lied.

The government is a price maker? How did that work out historically?
Not having any valid rebuttals give the lie to You, not me.

It worked out fine; public sector command economics achieved full employment and won WWII.

Hey Paul Krugman, I have been a co-owner of a small business that had a $3 million+ payroll. You can't impose an across the board $15 an hr minimum wage without causing massive damage to small businesses. SOME businesses can pass cost increases to consumers MOST cannot without adverse affects on their business.
Like what? All other small business like Yours is in the same boat.

Not paying attention to the conversation but still want to be taken seriously? It is about labor making enough to afford our first world economy.

Labor is only one factor of production and those costs can easily be justified and passed on to consumers

Only immoral capitalists do that instead of simply passing costs to the consumer who can afford more with a higher minimum wage.

Your comments rebut themselves.

And your inability to post your proof when challenged.

It worked out fine;

Hilarious!!
Which prices are still made by government?
What percentage is that of the total number?

Must be a lot, because "it worked out fine". DURR

Sitting in his Mom's basement smoking weed.......

I mean, it's been what......40+ years already?

As I predicted, Biden is driving the final sword into the heart of small business. $15 an hour minimum wage, a new raft of government regulations and Covid requirements will guarantee that no one in their right mind will want to start a new small business. Thank you China, thank you Democrats.
People need to get out of poverty wages. I would rather eat a food stamp.

People need to get out of poverty wages.

How is $0 better than $7.25?
Businesses that can´t afford wages that are sufficient to make a living don´t have a reason to exist, actually.

Excellent idea to get people out of poverty wages.....eliminate their jobs. DURR.

How does a consumer making $30/hr afford to pay more when the minimum wage hits $15?
How much of a problem do they have now? Besides, raising the minimum wage creates an upward pressure on wages in general.
Besides, raising the minimum wage creates an upward pressure on wages in general.

What does it do for pensions?
I have heard that pensions are tied to inflation now.

Show us.

Who said anything about ignoring retirees? That is Your rhetoric not mine. Pensions should be adjusted for inflation and many are. State and federal pensions are, why not private sector pensions from Capitalists?

You are even more hilarious. Capitalists pass on costs to the consumers all the time. You are the one claiming they can't for the rising minimum wage when labor will have more money to spend.

Google it yourself; I did. Are you too lazy while blaming me for smoking weed and resorting to more intellectualism by resorting to fewer fallacies? Why do you believe you are worth what you are getting paid.

State and federal (public sector) pensions are typically adjusted for inflation while free market Capitalism pensions may not be since Capitalists want more profit at your expense. Isn't Capitalism wonderful.

Biden is so fucking useless, what's $15/hr when you need like $50K to live in a decent place? He's another heartless bastard and not a real Socialist

What does it matter? You being a foreigner and a resident of another country, won't be getting any of that, will you?
Maybe I am leaving my shithole where everything works just fine?
Why not? Lots of your people want to come here. Must be a reason for that.

Oh, prices go up almost instantly and eventually, maybe, in a year or two (or more),
the increased unemployment caused by the mandated hike in costs will lead
to higher wages.

That's funny!
