Biden to cancel the Keystone pipeline via executive action on 1st day, Trudeau already complaining, conservatives like Ann Coulter already pouncing!

i'd rather be EMPLOYED than "healthy", my friends!

The big lie they have sold is Keystone will create 20,000 new jobs.. It will create 4,000 temporary jobs.

We must never build anything that creates any jobs. Ever.
Or secure a source of oil from a friendly nation.

Canada won't let Keystone build a pipeline West to the Pacific Ocean or East to the Atlantic.

What the ppb on Canadian oil? I know Brent and WTI are always a dollar or 2 higher than OPEC.

We definitely shouldn't import any cheap oil from friends.

SO kill a bunch of jobs (good paying ones at that), piss off Canada, and look like an ass. Beijing Biden: Day 1.

Its 4,000 temporary jobs .. You lay pipeline?

On November 17, 2020, the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and the Fort Belknap Indian Community filed a federal lawsuit against the United States Department of Interior (DOI) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) over their issuing of the KXL permit. Among other things, the complaint describes:

  • Although, the pipeline’s proposed path crosses the plaintiff tribes’ homelands, the tribes have not been consulted as required by law and DOI policy.
  • In granting the right-of-way, the BLM failed to analyze and uphold the United States’ treaty obligations to protect the Tribes lands and natural resources. The government failed to even evaluate an alternate route to avoids tribal treaty lands.
  • The government’s analysis does not meaningfully address how an influx of out-of-state construction workers will affect the health, welfare, and safety of tribal members, and in particular Native women and children.
  • The agencies have not considered the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on either health and safety or the global oil markets.
  • The 2019 supplemental environmental impact statement has numerous issues and shortcomings. Even its maps do not give enough detail to show impacts on Indian lands.
  • In their permit application, TransCanada agreed to abide by tribal laws and regulation, which they have failed to do.

Well dummy, that pipeline isn’t going to do its own upkeep, repairs, or maintenance is it? There needs to be people overseeing operations. You ever actually have a job?

Pipelines today are managed from a central location that can control flow rate and pressure in real time.

Keystone has a lousy safety record.

And the pipeline would help move oil from a friendly nation.

Unlike the efforts of the previous man in the WH, Biden knows that oil is not in demand as it was...even five years ago. All car manufacturers are swiftly switching gears and going electric. Not to mention the damage that fossil fuels have on the environment, elections have consequences. You people said that over and over after Putin helped elect the previous man in the WH. Suck it up...Buttercup.

National brownouts. National water hours. Maximum fuel prices. Gas station hours limited with particular days each car owner shows up for a limited amount of fuel. Meters on our electricity to shut down when we exceed government mandates. We are building an exciting future.

Joe, "job killer" biden....gets the hat trick...

By canceling the pipeline he kills American jobs, hurts an allied country and damages the environment.....

Add to that empowering China who will naturally get that oil now.....

China's early investment in joe biden is now paying off......and it's just the first day...

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) also inveighed against the move. Unions and most Democrats — about 62% — opposed the cancelation. Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also weighed in against the move. Canada is now said to be considering some type of sanction against the United States. Biden’s move affects workers in both countries; it kills about 12,000 jobs in the United States and another 2,000 in Canada as both countries are still reeling from the COVID pandemic’s destruction of jobs.
-----
Canceling the Keystone XL also hurts the environment. The pipeline would have moved between 800,000 and 830,000 barrels of oil per day safely, off our roads and rails, from where it’s produced to where it can be refined. That was to be Texas, which leads the world in the clean and safe refining of oil into products the modern economy depends on every single day. So some of the jobs lost were in Texas, about which Biden will not care, as Texas did not vote for him.

With the pipeline canceled, Canada will find other customers for its oil. That’s likely to be China and India, two of the world’s fastest-growing and most energy-hungry economies. Instead of being transported safely via the Keystone XL pipeline, the oil will be transported by trucks and ships — both of which emit far more gunk into the atmosphere than pipelines, and both of which are far more prone to accidents and spills. It’s likely to be refined outside the United States, where standards do not match U.S. EPA standards.

2012 candidate Romney: i'll build that pipeline if have to do it myself!

from the article:

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday said his administration was "disappointed" with Biden’s decision to revoke the permit for construction on the Keystone pipeline.⁣

The 1,700-mile pipeline was planned to carry 800,000 barrels of oil a day from Alberta to the Texas Gulf Coast, passing through Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma.⁣

LOL.. Ask Trudeau why they won't let Keystone build a pipeline from Hardisty to the Pacific.
