In a Republic, actually
'Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's team warned its supporters to "campaign like we're trailing" in polls the same day that his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, announced she would visit Florida on Monday.
[…]
…in a memo slated to be sent to supporters on Saturday, Biden campaign manager Jennifer O'Malley Dillon cautioned that polls can be faulty or imprecise, The New York Times reported. And while national polling averages do show Biden with a strong lead, some individual states are proving more worrisome for the Democrat.

"While we see robust leads at the national level, in the states we're counting on to carry us to victory like Arizona and North Carolina we're only up by three points," she wrote in the memo obtained by the Times. "We also know that even the best polling can be wrong, and that variables like turnout mean that in a number of critical states we are functionally tied -- and that we need to campaign like we're trailing."’

The Biden campaign is wise to counsel those who oppose Trump and seek to remove him from office to work as if Biden is behind – given how divided and polarized the country is, given the capricious nature of the voters, and given the unpredictable anachronism that his the EC.

Because they are. And you all know it. Biden has no lead in Florida with Miami-Dade being a toss up. It’s the only place he can out vote the rest of the state. If that’s a statistical tie he loses. Big.

I think any poll of likely voters in swing states that has the election over 5% either way is faulty. Probably closer to any poll that has LVs outside of 3%.

My "go-to" is electoral-vote.com because they average the polls which seems to be better than relying on and reporting one poll. They had AZ at 5% in Biden's column. I'm calling BS on that. Trump himself is coming out here...so his internals are telling him something.

That he has to go to states that were comfortably in his column last time tells us something else about the state of the overall campaign. He was in Georgia yesterday. Georgia!!!! But as we all know, presidential elections 51 different contests for 538 electoral votes. Overall doesn't mean anything in the final analysis.

Poor Biden, someone should tell him that he's already lost....no matter, he'll find out in a couple of weeks or so.
