Stay addicted and die, plebes!!

There's a bipartisan effort to get Biden to leave this program alone, but since he doesn't even know what year it is, it's unlikely he'll listen.

Drs. Brian Barnett, a psychiatrist, and Jeremy Weleff, a resident in psychiatry in Ohio, wrote that “to the astonishment of the medical community,” Biden on January 27 reversed a January 14 change by the Trump administration to allow nearly all physicians to prescribe buprenorphine.

The doctors described the drug buprenorphine as “one of the most effective treatments for opioid addiction,” adding:

Previously, only doctors who had completed an eight-hour training course and obtained a license from the Drug Enforcement Administration could [prescribed buprenorphine]. Only 7% of physicians are certified to prescribe the drug, and more than half of rural counties lacked a single prescriber as of 2018.
President Biden had promised during the campaign to abolish the licensing requirement, known as the “X-waiver,” which President Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services moved to nix a week before he left office. After France eliminated a similar regulation, the number of patients receiving buprenorphine increased tenfold, and opioid overdose deaths dropped by 80% in four years.
The Biden administration argued that the Trump-era change had legal problems, including a failure to receive clearance from the White House budget office.

Barnett and Weleff further opined:

We hope this about-face wasn’t political. But if the only issue is procedural, why not let the change stand until Congress passes legislation to regularize it? There is every reason to do so: Nearly 130 Americans die of opioid overdoses on an average day, and a bipartisan bill has already been proposed, with plans for reintroduction.
In a rare show of bipartisanship, a group of lawmakers is urging Biden to let more doctors prescribe buprenorphine.

“Lawmakers — led by Sens. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), who are joined by four members in the House — are reintroducing legislation that would eliminate the rules and urging the president to support the bill,” the Washington Post reported Tuesday.
The lawmakers are reportedly calling on the president to “deliver on your promise to expand access to medication-assisted treatment” in a letter obtained by the Washington Post.

The Liberal Problem with this program is the opinion that opioid addiction is considered a "white man's problem" and if there was a similar problem in communities of color, the federal government wouldn't do shit.

So this has to be dismantled

Not really a treatment when you are getting people off an illegal highly addictive narcotic by getting them hooked on a big pharma highly addictive narcotic. This is why my city has no drug court program. The funding requires the court look past legal addictions being used to treat illegal addictions.

The radical American Left wants American Citizens addicted to marijuana and other recreational drugs, including the hardest ones, for what appear to be very obvious reasons. A drug addicted population is much easier to control, for one thing. I live (for a few more weeks) on the outskirts of Baltimore, about fifteen miles from the downtown. Around here one cannot drive two blocks without getting behind someone else who is puffing marijuana smoke out their car windows while driving and texting at traffic stoplights. A vast number of Americans have simply decided to toke up, tune out and become comfortably numb rather than face the harsh realities of COVID and the communist takeover of their country.

What time does the party start?

China continues to send opiods and fentanyl into Mexico where the drug cartels create illegal drugs or lace it with other drugs. Those drugs make their way into the country on the backs of border jumpers or hidden in trucks and cars. Every day we have young Americans dying from overdoses not even knowing what they are taking. This is what China wants, so it is no surprise that China Joe is removing an opioid treatment option.

Liberal Philly news spin:
"Philly's opioid crisis has been worse than ever amid the COVID-19 pandemic"
The true story they avoid "Philly's opioid crisis has been worse than ever amid the CHINA BIDEN compromised term."

So 70% of America can go to hell

The Biden administration is currently providing operational assistance for Mexican drug cartels in their human smuggling operations so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they're also supporting their opioid distribution operations by ensuring an unfettered customer base.
