If we can trust the stats on votes in this recent election, there is a growing share of the black and Latino working class vote that is voting Republican now. If Republicans maintain a focus on populism while Democrats fixate on identity politics, that trend will likely continue.
So Democrats may make some gains among whites, but they're starting to lose many racial minorities.
