This is Texas, if Biden is competing it is game over... Personally I had a small bet on Biden in Texas last night... A lot of new registered voters for this election, three times than normal... Texas polls last time were biased towards Trump. Beto came within 2 of Cruz. So it is not impossible, improbable but not impossible...

If the virus overwhelms the hospitals, then something has to done to slow it and the only way we know for sure that will slow down an epidemic is a complete lockdown. When the ICU's fill up in the hospitals, it is not just people with the virus that suffer but anyone who needs serious medical care. I've seen people lined up in hallways on gurneys dying because of lack medical care. We can't allow that to happen.

According to the Harris County Clerk, over 1M people have already voted in Houston/Harris County.

In 2016, the total number of votes (early, election day, absentee, etc...) was 1.3 million.

In 2018, Beto got something like 58 percent of the vote. If that percentage holds, that is over 580,000 votes for Biden presumably. Trump got 4.6 million votes in Texas. In one county alone Biden is going to presumably have close to 10-20% of Trump's total in 2016. The more liberal areas of Texas (Dallas County, Travis County, Nueces County, the valley and El Paso County) are beyond the half million plus that Biden will have coming out of Harris County.

I think Trump still wins Texas but this may be good news for DEMs in down-ballot races

Not really... It might loose him Texas but North Carolina and Arizona are the second and third highest solar producers in US. Texas is 7th and increasing. Texas cut 12% of there Oil and gas works since March... Solar didn't and have been hit that bad.
