Joe Biden: Republicans could defeat Democrats in 2012

Vice President Joe Biden conceded Thursday that Republicans have a chance of defeating Democrats in the coming 2012 election.

Mr. Biden, speaking on Thursday, says the Republican Party is strong enough to beat President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.

During an appearance Thursday at the Washington Ideas Forum, Mr. Biden said a significant majority of the American people do not believe the country is moving in the right direction. Mr. Biden said the current state of the economy may present challenges for the Obama administration as it seeks re-election.

“It’s strong enough to beat both of us,” Mr. Biden said.

I think the Democrats would fair better in this next election if they admitted the possibility of defeat.
