Gaffe after gaffe......they send him out of the country and he still keeps going off of the reservation.

President Joe Biden said Monday that the U.S. would intervene militarily if China were to invade Taiwan, saying the burden to protect Taiwan is “even stronger’ after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It was one of the most forceful presidential statements in support of self-governing in decades.
Biden, at a news conference in Tokyo, said “yes” when asked if he was willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if China invaded. “That’s the commitment we made,” he added.

Biden: US would intervene with military to defend Taiwan

But for some reason, Biden’s handlers felt it was necessary to rush in and clean up his comment. Here is what the unsigned statement from the White House said, presumably coming from his far-left press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.

The contradiction here is mainly contained in the last sentence. While Biden asserted he would intervene militarily, i.e. with the US military, his handlers apparently want to make it clear that we are only committing to providing military aid to Taiwan so it can “defend itself.” That’s significant in that it signals to China that the only thing we’d do is what we’ve been doing in Ukraine with mixed results.

Regardless, I believe the bigger issue here is not the contradictions in policy, but rather that Biden’s handlers enjoy such preeminent power that they can continually override the actual president. If the president’s word means nothing, then what’s the point of having one? This isn’t even the first time they’ve come out and changed the administration’s position regarding Taiwan.

Do we have a president, or do we have a shadowy cabal of far-left apparatchiks seeking to protect China at the helm? I think we all know the answer to that, and it’s another reason Biden is completely unfit for office. If a president is so incapable of accomplishing the duties of his elected position that his handlers have to essentially run the show, that’s a really undemocratic and unsafe place to be as a nation. The White House becomes an extension of the bureaucracy at that point, and that’s not how things are supposed to work.

Joe Biden's Handlers Rush to Clean up His Statement on Taiwan

This is the result of:

1) the media waging such an onslaught against President Trump that millions of useful idiots were fooled into voting for an old man with dementia, and

2) picking a totally incompetent VP because her skin color mattered more than even marginal competence

To be clear, just because Biden says something, it doesn’t mean he means it. If he says we will defend Taiwan, that probably means he’s let them invade. Everything this idiot says turns out to be 100% false.
“I will NOT mandate the vaccines.”
“The Taliban will NOT take over Afghanistan.”
“These sanctions will deter Russia from invading Ukraine.”

He’s lied about every major policy, so don’t be surprised if he lets China invade Taiwan while he talks like tough guy.

Except its not true is it you lying shit ?

Dunno Tommy......go ask the Chinese. They received his comments rather warmly it appears.

China on Monday expressed outrage at President Joe Biden’s apparent break from America’s prior policy of “strategic ambiguity” regarding Taiwan, blasting his assertion that the U.S. would militarily defend the island nation if Beijing invaded.

No country should underestimate China’s “firm resolve, staunch will and strong ability” to protect its sovereign and territorial interests, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin told reporters on Monday in response to Biden’s comments.

“On issues that bear on China's sovereignty, territorial integrity and other core interests, no one shall expect China to make any compromise or trade-offs,” Wang said.

“PLA’s firepower in the Taiwan Straits has long surpassed that of US military,” Hu Xijin, who until last year oversaw China’s Global Times news outlet – considered aligned with the views of the ruling party – wrote on Twitter on Monday, using an abbreviation for the People’s Liberation Army. “Biden says US military would defend Taiwan - does Biden wish to bring those soldiers back in coffins or let them sink into the Taiwan Straits to feed the fish? So, let’s cherish peace together.”

Their comments came moments after Biden in high-profile remarks in Japan shocked observers with the assertion that the U.S. would provide military support to Taiwan in the case of an invasion.
