Total crap......

The electric bus company, which has been hailed by the Biden administration as the future of mass transportation, has seen its stock plummet in the last month as reports pile up about problems with its product. In Philadelphia, mechanical failures and weak battery performance forced city officials to shelve buses received as recently as 2019. In Duluth, Minnesota, the buses were taken off the road because their brakes couldn't handle the city's hills. The publicly known failings of Proterra's buses have not deterred key members of the Biden administration, including the president himself, from touting the company on multiple occasions.

“Biden Buses being phased out

the above “title” is misleading, either deliberately or on purpose-?

The above title says “being phased out”; when the correct term should have been, “considering”

The difference is so slight that you may not have caught the con.

The list of mechanical failures didn't leave much doubt in my mind these electric buses that
Racist Joe touts are on their way out.

No doubt many companies have failed in the past when the product they sold is now normal.

Maybe it's not. That's not my point.

My point is that just because a company fails, because a company doesn't something badly, doesn't mean the whole product is bad. Others might do it better.

The problem is...........
The company obviously didn't do any testing of these vehicles before producing them to sell.

Of course, this whole thing could be a scam. It's not unheard of for politicians to pay a company to produce something to fail on purpose.

Horses(Morgan's the best!) & buckboards are waaaaay less expensive & easier on the tax payers than the half baked enviro bus fiascos. The down side is the methane pollution which unfortunately exits the rear of the horses @ high velocity & enters the drivers compartment. Grass hay methane aroma is tolerable to most drivers, but alfalfa feed horses put out some pretty stout gas fumes for sure!

And United States? Market penetration was at about 0.5% of the total U.S. public transit bus market at the end of 2017, but in the same time 9% of all transit agencies either had electric buses in service or on order. Things are moving fast! Anyhow, according to BloombergNEF figures, at the end of 2019 in the US «around 450 of the nearly 75,000 municipal buses on the road were e-buses».

According to Dan Raudebaugh, Executive Director for the Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE), in October 2020 there were «slightly over 1,000 zero-emission buses deployed in the US. I think the rate of increase of that figure may slow some due to COVID, like everything else. In the long term, I think this market will continue to grow rapidly. In fact, I think the transit market may be the first major vehicle market to completely switch to zero emissions».

Hey boy, it isn't Biden or Obama's people going to jail on a daily basis

No, they are too busy arresting, charging and criminalizing everyone who stands to beat and/or expose them! Much like defectors from the Putin Regime!

You don't see Vlad going to prison, do you? Guess he is innocent and totally OK.

Meantime, another line of EV shit bites the dust. 🚌

  • Electric buses are melting in sun, too expensive to fix, transit official says.
  • Problems cited by the agency include not only the bus that caught fire in what's described as a "thermal event," but also buses that melt in the California heat and have transmission failures.
  • With the number of failures we are experiencing and the inability of Proterra to provide parts, these [Battery Electric Buses] BEBs will only get worse as we continue to operate them.
