The only thing that changed this time is that there was higher turnout on both sides, which can pretty easily be explained in that both sides were more motivated to show up for a whole lot of reasons- Trump Plague, Trump Riots, Trump Recession, and the fact that no one was declaring this thing in the bag like they foolishly did in 2016.
