I think that CrossFit is suitable for general military training for any specialist, as a training for basic skills, you don't even need to change anything, just take it as it is. The advantage is that this is a purely functional training that works out all the basic skills of a soldier. While exercising on simulators and excessive enthusiasm for aerobic activity can disrupt functional skills and does not lead to efficiency.

In addition, military-oriented exercises such as climbing skills, overcoming fences and obstacle courses are already involved in CrossFit

What I would buy is a wrestling mat and they would wrestle to stay in shape. Plus they’ll toughen up.

Or, for example, burpie is a practice of defense against a fire attack. CrossFit has borrowed much of its methods from military training.

Yes, but they usually do it anyway, at least the elite units
Although there is too soft and formal training.

If you wrestle 2 minutes, rest 1, then wrestle 2 minutes, rest 1 then wrestle another 2, you will be so tired. If the person you wrestle is good enough to last 6 minutes you two will both be whipped. No matter how in shape you are because both of you are trying so hard.

therefore, it is best to avoid wrestling and focus on striking.

You should for sure train that too. Bu5 you can’t beat the shit out of each other. And the goal is to get in shape.

And when I say wrestle I mean mma style. Just no punching. But you can choke someone out or arm bar them to tap.

in addition, in modern wrestling, little attention is paid to hard breaking of the limbs, accompanied by injuries. For applied wrestling, this is better than throwing and overpowering. To do this, you need to strengthen the hands and train explosive strength, this is also what CrossFit helps.

My buddy said he was traumatized as a kid when his uncle made him shoot a deer. I told him it was a good thing. He asked why. I said, “after that you wouldn’t be such a pussy if there was ever a war and you had to go into combat”. He never thought of it that way and now feels better about the experience.

There isnt a martial art I would make fun of. Not even the stupid dancing one. I’m sure they’d kick my ass too. Lol

All the same, I think that war and hunting are very different things. As a rule, the hunter kills a victim that is defenseless in front of him. In the old days, some practiced something more masculine, like fight against a bear with a stick.

Combat sports is now a question in an applied sense. For example, in taekwondo, they do not pay attention to the effectiveness of the blow, they work for points, and just touch. This will not work for the practic aspect. The closest sport to practic is Muaythai.

My cop buddy knows exactly how to chop someone in the throat to take them down immediately. That stuff should be taught too.

I think that the one who cannot hit or kill the villain due to the peculiarities of his temperament is not a warrior by nature, it is better for him to do something else, for example, gardening

Stability?

As a kid I saw many karate kids get fucked up trying a spin kick in a real fight.
Does not look like it. There, stability must be ensured by speed. It looks like something artificial

yes, this is an ineffective blow, it is noticeable and energy-consuming, but sometimes it can be effective.
