good choice, i believe charlie watts is a pretty fair jazz drummer as well.

i thought i did.

before my son started taking lessons, he learned a lot from some videos by neil peart. i thought at the time that rush sucked, and i've seen no reason to adjust my opinion.

You don't have to! People like Rush, or they don't. I liked them in college, now, if I hear a song by them it brings back great memories, but I don't have any of their albums.


Neil Peart is a great drummer tho, I would pick Buddy Rich, but he's not a "rock drummer"

You have Peart... then the rest.... of the rest, I've always been a big fan of Tommy Lee, Nicko McBrain, Phil Ehart, and Ian Paice.. never been a Bonham or Moon guy
