My best one would be the restaurant's e-gift card(s) I received via email.

The restaurant had a Christmas sale going on where if you bought $25 worth of food you got $5 worth for free. Therefore you would pay only $20 and the e-gift card would say $25.

I eat at this restaurant a lot so I decided to get $30 worth of freed food, so I paid $140 for $170 worth of e-gift cards. When I checked my email there were gift cards all over the place. My email looked like I had won the e-gift card lottery.

I ended up with $475 worth of their e-gift cards. I called them right away making sure that amount had not been charged on my Amex card. They let me know it was an error on our part; whatever you received keep it.

I have another gift I have yet to open, it's wrapped so pretty but I do know what it is.

The USS Flagg. I got it when I was 11 years old. Greatest Christmas present from the 80's in my opinion.

Thats so nice. Awesome memory; something of quality. Then when you get real old make sure you give it to another 11 year old.

LOL, it didn't last 3 years. My parents were big on throwing out toys we no longer used, and by throw out I mean garage sale sell them.

When I was a kid that tape recorder was my favorite Christmas gift. Back then you could get 10 cassettes for one cent in the mail you just choose the music you wanted.

I remember I kept singing Natalie Cole's song all day... "This will be an everlasting love me, you brought me more joy than I ever dreamed of no one-no one can take this love from me..." I was only 12 years old singing my heart out.

At that time nothing had been invented except the 8-track, the cassette tape, and records and albums - no cds, no Apple Music, no DVDs, no iTunes.

As a kid, original 16bit Nintendo.
I got my first Nintendo for Christmas of 1990. I was eight years old then and my grandparents gave it to me. They passed away in 2002 and 2011.

My best gift was given to me on March 22nd last year. I got to meet my most favorite singer Mason Ramsey for the first time. :) :) :)

God bless you and him always!!!

oh wow, that's amazing.

I was at a church concert and saw a gospel singer I like name Kim Burrell. Before church ended I made my way over to where she was at, said hi, and told her I listen your music all the time can I get one picture... she said okay, her body got my camera and took our picture. If she had turned me down it would have been a very bad memory for me about church people, but she received me well.

A 4X (Brand) heavy duty camo hunting coat when I was about 15.....Till then I was wearing surplus wool lined .mil winter gear.

Frog pattern camo with detachable hood, fur collar, and game bag.

Sort of like this one.

LOL....That thing looked like a patchwork quilt by the time I retired it and went with Gortex.

.

Really good quality roller skates, when I was 13. Mom also sewed me a cute corduroy skating skirt.

They were a motivator. If I got my homework done, I'd get to go skating until bedtime. Nothing I liked better.

When I was 10 (1958) I got a brand new Winchester mod 37 single shot 410. Man I thought I was Robert Roarke with that, and there were still lots of rabbits, and I got pretty good at flushing and shooting singles on quail and a few ducks. When I was 11 I shot my first deer with it, a 13 pointer. Loved the waxy smell of a brand new box of #6's in the winter. I used that I guess until I was 16 and bought a new Mod 12 ( $100.00) and paid for it in installments with paper route. I'd love to have that one back but my dad did a lot of trading when I was in the Navy, but still ended up with a lot of good memories.

I hope that you were treated well since you were in a church of all places!

God bless you and Kim always!!!
