i stand for Nuclear power ´+ Renewable energy (as complimentary to it) . I think nuclear for the major industries and cities, solar for the average household and backup energy storage, and other fuel sources like gas, hydro, biofuel, and so on to fill in the gaps.

Litwin, I have read some of your threads, you do not think like I do, but I respect your perspective.

Nuclear energy is terrific............in a very, very, peaceful world. Sadly, we do not have that, nor have we had that since virtually the beginning of time. I understand that many HIGH IQ people believe we can all live in harmony and sing Kumbaya together. It has NEVER happened! Humans war over land, economics, energy, religion, sex, and a host of other things. Dropping nuclear power plants that crazies can target, is nonsensical. We have already seen how it was handled in Ukraine, and sadly.........those 2 country's would be considered more reasonable than most.

Now then..........would I like to go with nuclear? Yes, absolutely. Besides having to get rid of the spent isotopes, it is almost the perfect energy source for today. But then again, like I said, you are creating a very volatile target for CRAZIES if you go that way. All we need do is revisit Chernobyl to realize we can NOT take that chance as of now. Are you old enough to remember 3 mile Island? Look that one up!

Understand, this is NOT a refutation of the science that has given us nuclear power, but rather the refutation of human propensity. You give them a way that they can kill millions of Americans, and they will use it!
