I don't see the sole purpose for another hike in the minimum wage ($15/hr). Yeah, I get that, we haven't had one since 2007 (or 08?). But it seems pointless, since the small businesses have to somehow "meet the demand" or go out of business. It's only good for huge corporations to do it, they have to money and resources. But for small businesses (especially those who are just starting out) won't be able to survive.

I have been a strong component against the raise of the minimum wage for a long time. I have friends and relatives that own small businesses. And they are barely even getting through. It's not like there is a huge "supply and demand" in the market. And they solely depend on their employees since they are not a Union. How far do they need to keep raising it? What's next...a $25/hr raise?

Also, when you raise the min. wage, the price for everything (including their products they are selling) goes up. As well, as gas to put in their cars. The rental for the building, or property tax, goes up. It's a chain reaction of events that is just down-right not necessary. Especially for those who are just barely making it.

When i was over in Saudi Arabia working on the Royal Air Force F-15s, my base salary was $12 an hour with 6 dollar cost of living adjustment with a bonus for 2 year completion and travel. So i was working on 15 million dollar aircraft and these turds today who cant even get a hamburger order right is going to be paid 15 bucks?
