It doesn't make my life any safer, that's for sure.
When you heard them talk about their revenge on their enemies, they didn't have a platform or resources to carry out their threats, but now that they do and have started the process it's only a matter of time our porous border will allow those who look like the immigrants through, give them hotel rooms and free cell phones so they can seek out their enemies, by way of our lack of privacy on our personal info.
At least now the Palestinians threatening prominent Jews and Iranians threatening outspoken writers against their regime, seems less of a threat in comparison.

It doesn't make my life any safer, that's for sure.
When you heard them talk about their revenge on their enemies, they didn't have a platform or resources to carry out their threats, but now that they do and have started the process it's only a matter of time our porous border will allow those who look like the immigrants through, give them hotel rooms and free cell phones so they can seek out their enemies, by way of our lack of privacy on our personal info.
At least now the Palestinians threatening prominent Jews and Iranians threatening outspoken writers against their regime, seems less of a threat in comparison.

It is one thing when an organization such as the Taliban are operating on the fringes of a country it is quite another when they have a huge country with all its resources to go with it ….They share a border with China who will be more then happy to trade technological information for the rare minerals and raw resources that Afghanistan has in abundance giving the Taliban a chance at very great sophistication…Further the Taliban have maintained mutual defencepacts with numerous other groupsincluding some in Syria where they can channel some of their new found riches in arms thanks to the US government ineptitude causing further bloodshed and turmoil that will easily transcend Afghanistan and spread all over… Further since the Biden administration removed protections of its own citizens in a memo by the state department on June 11 th it might be open season on any Americans residing outside of the states…I agree that the problem of the porous border becomes even more problematic not just for terrorists threats but for the new types of drugs poring through that make fentanyl look like a mere child’s toy . Taliban means student let us hope and pray that in this case the student does not surpass the teacher …

No they are not the same..it wasn’t that long ago that most of these places like Afghanistan were very secular in their outlook.. The pendulum always swings one way and then the other… It wasn’t that long ago that the west was very Victorian in its outlook and the pendulum swung from there to the liberalism we have today.. The pendulum in the Arab world has swung in the opposite direction…The pendulum is always swinging and in the next generation or two both groups could meet in the middle again… Don’t always look to blame the desert religions after all there are other forces in the world besides them and other religions as well…
