At today's news conference Bush looked flummoxed.

He seemed unable to believe what the American people voted. He appeared unsteady and frankly unpresidential as can be. The next two years could be very painful to watch and endure.

Maybe it had nothing to do with the election results and everything to do with the fact that Rumsfeld blind sided the President with his resignation? Particularly possible after the President very recently voiced support for his Secretary of Defense in such an unequivocal manner.

Please tell me you're kidding. The president told Gates on Sunday that he would be taking over... win or lose. The only ones who've been blindsided are Rummy and Cheney. I actually respect what Bush did today. He blew off Rove, he blew off Cheney and asserted himself. He called in the guys who knew it was a mistake to go into Baghdad in Gulf I to try to get some coherant policy in Iraq that will allow us to find some sense of dignity and international respect again.

Good on him. He did the right thing.

Doner the right thing??? that remains to be seen doesn't it.

RANT ON:

Dignity and International respect????

We will soon become the nation every petty dictator in the world wants to go to war with because we will quit. I have no respect for any of the politicians in power anymore...NONE of them. I have no respect for either party anymore either.

International respect, my ass. You may view that what is good for Europe is good for the US, but I don't. You may view appeasement of Islamic radicals as a good thing, but I don't. You may view 12 million criminals living in this country as a good thing, but I don't. You may think that others should work hard so they can make money to support the willfully unemployed, but I don't. You may think its a good thing that the government can abscond your personal property so others may profit from it, but I don't.

I am thoroughly disgusted with not only this administration, but the entire government and the majority of US citizens who think that the moral high ground, appeasement, international approval, and political correctness is more important than the well being of this nation. I am disgusted by the people of this country who think the likes of Kerry and Pelosi are persons to be admired. I am disgusted by folks who think people with the morals of a goat like Clinton are awesome Presidents, or that Senators who commit murder should hold office for a lifetime. I am disgusted by liberal judges who make law and are more concerned for criminals than they are for victims. I am disgusted by people who think socialism is a good idea; that hard work should be punished, success is is a bad thing and mediocrity is a desireable goal.

The people of this country do indeed deserve what they get.
