Anyone who doesn't know who Assata Shakur is, she is a woman who was convicted of murdering an American law enforcement officer. She is a wanted American TERRORIST, and yes if the reader does not know, her name, "Shakur" is an Islamic name.

She has political asylum in Cuba, but with new relations between the countries, what will happen concerning Mrs. Shakur?...discuss lol.

Resurrecting this thread for intelligence (knowledge, education, etc.) type reasons and not resurrecting it to stir up negativity. Please everyone just do thinking and reasoning with intelligence here on this thread; I would reword the title if I could but I am not able to do that.

But if Miss/Ms./Mrs. Assata Shakur, or whatever her true name is, has been named a terrorist by our federal government, and she has been convicted of murdering an American government law enforcement officer, why would we be OK with her having "asylum" in the nation of Cuba, which she currently has?

didn't say it was OK, but Cuba is far from the only country without extradition of US criminals.
US can have relations with a country and not have criminals returned by those countries. Just because we have opened relations with Cuba does not mean we can ask or demand return of those seeking protection from the US courts or jails.
