Asia lags behind Europe in sex, reveals Durex survey

Asians are having far less sex than their European counterparts, according to a global survey, which also revealed trends towards younger and riskier sex.
People around the world slip between the sheets on an average of 103 times per year, compared to 127 times in the previous year's poll, according to figures published by condom manufacturer Durex.
Asians are the least sexually active, the survey says. Japanese have just 46 rolls in the hay per year, followed by Hong Kong, Chinese and Singaporeans with 79, Taiwanese with 80, Indians with 82 and 90 for Chinese, the survey said.
By contrast, the top 11 nationalities in the sex stakes were European, with the French topping the charts with 137 sexual encounters per year, followed closely by Greece, Serbia-Montenegro and Hungary.
A record 350,000 people in 41 countries were questioned for the company's ninth annual online survey.
Asians were also most likely to skimp on foreplay, with Thais spending the least time, a paltry 11.5 minutes compared to a global average of 19.7, followed by Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.
British lovers spent the most time on foreplay, clocking in at 22.5 minutes.
In several countries, foreplay is increasingly likely to include sexual enhancers such as pornogaphy, vibrators, pleasure enhancing condoms and lubricants, Durex said.
