As a Texan I am Pissed: Gov. Abbott goes on Fox News to whine about Green New Deal

Hey, dipshit- this was a NATURAL disaster, disaster a key word

Too bad you're not near as informed as you feel you are- there can be a game of tit - for - tat playing politics which is ALL you're doing, which illustrates your shallow thinking- this is a Natural Disaster STUPID- it hasn't even snowed in Houston, in February, for 80 years, never mind sub 20 tempertures for extended periods- I've lived down here since 1969- I've seen one (1) time at not above 30 degrees for 10 days in a row, in the early 80's- so just stop with your partisan bullshit and inform yourself of facts, which you may or may not like- and Biden won't be sending shit- he can't even talk coherently-

 :yes_text12: If you follow the majority of his posts it’s pretty obvious he is one of the most ignorant posters at this site, definetely the dumbest newby that has registered here recently.:iyfyus.jpg:

What the **** Abbott, my mother had no power for 2 days this week. My older brother just texted me yesterday that he hasn't had power all week. The Republican party has had majorities and the Governors Mansion for over 20 years here in TX, and the leader of our state goes on TV to

Talk about something that does not even EXIST. I want this guy OUT. Get me a real Texan, wtf.

Wow are you 12? People who live anywhere have lost power at one time or another....a week is about average time for a tornado or hurricane or frozen power lines. Do you also whine when your mommy doesn't go to the store on time?
 :yes_text12: You hit the nail on the head, yeah you can tell just by looking at his avatar that he is a young kid about the age 12.:abgg2q.jpg::laughing0301::auiqs.jpg: So it’s understandable why he is so clueless and babbles constantly all the time,it is so obvious from all his posts that he is just a kid who is clueless on how evil the dem party is and believes eveything the government and msm media tell him, clueless on how evil our government is and obviously believes the government is looking out for him.:abgg2q.jpg::auiqs.jpg: He needs to do himself the Biggest favor in his life, get off this message board and be a kid and hang out with his friends in junior high and just be a clueless kid not advertising his ignorance.:auiqs.jpg:

It wasn't a tornado or a hurricane dude, it was some snow. frozen water. You don't even live here you have no idea what we are going through here.

NO WATER (showers, etc)
NO power for millions
NO Internet for millions
and all the roads are icy so going anywhere is tough

And you're sitting here comparing it to my "mommy going to the store".

do you realize how pathetic you sound???
Does that really surprise you in the least progressive hunter ? Look at his avatar,he is advertising it that he is no more than 12 years old and in junior high school :abgg2q.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: The fact he is that young I give him a pass on being so stupid and defending the government at every turn and falling for the msm media’s lies about trump.I know when I was his age in junior high,I was ignorant back then about how evil and corrupt our government is as I’m sure you were as well.I believed all the media’s lies about Reagan and how great a president he was looking out for us same as he is doing believing the lies of the msm media of them slandering trump.he really needs to do himself a favor, stay out of politics if he wants to post at this site, post about sports or movies, something that he knows something about at least.lol

Texas is not a failed state...

they have had a major influx of Californians and others who have overloaded the system and who lack amount of common sense.

Other states are also experiencing black out due to the cold snap but the lib media isn't harping on them.
Haven’t you learned yet that Lakota is one of USMBs resident trolls who has no interest in pesky facts? Lol

My mom is 65 and had no power or running water. I couldn't drive out to help take care of her because of the roads. Why are you mocking me about this? I was very worried about her

Yep.....a Republican governor is to blame.....millions.....thousands....hundreds....tens of tens died.
What Texas needs is a Democrat governor so they'll stop blaming him every time something bad happens.
If it's a GOP governor it's racism and murder.
If you had a Democrat governor it would be just messy paperwork.
No harm done.
Blame who the governor is, politics notwithstanding. The Texas governor went on Fox News to lay blame on the failure of the windmills for the crisis, which was nothing more than a deflection from his screw-up. Of course, Fox news ate it for lunch without having a clue.
Well....I think the engineers responsible for the energy grid take most of the blame.
But this is just one of those things that happens when you get weather that is so extreme you didn't think it could happen.
My understanding is that the windmills weren't properly winterized.....and that you can't blame the governor for.....but because he's not a Democrat....he gets all of the blame.

Democrats don't......Shit happens
I remember how Bush got blamed for Katrina.....but it was actually the Democrat governor and mayor that were to blame.
:dig: Blah blah blah from you as always,it’s always the dems to blame for eveything in your warped mind, as always, you sound as stupid as Lakota always does and this op but that’s the norm for you,In you drugged up mind, the gop has never been corrupt,Reagan was a great president and the dems are to blame for eveything,Obama sucks and bush could do no wrong even though Obama was just contiuning the corrupt dreconian policys that Bush got started.:cuckoo::boohoo:

Has to be from Austin.

Bush got blamed for his response, and for no other reason.
The windmills were not properly winterized because of the expense to winterize.
Windmills throughout the world are equipped with the necessary tools for this kind of event.
The governor blamed green energy for the energy collapse and that is not the case, since Texas has its own grid that was not maintained, and natural gas is the primary energy resource in Texas. Had he not gone on Fox to blame everybody but himself, this would be a non-issue. At least, help is on the way.
Do you have a link to all of this hogwash?

The fact is....Democrats are attempting to take Texas.
That's all they care about in this.
They're pulling the same number the pulled on Bush in 2005 over Katrina....and pulled on Trump last year over COVID.

And why in the Hell isn't Joe Fuking Biden getting hammered for not responding to this natural emergency?????>
Joe fucking Biden is doing just that and can't respond in the middle of the storm.
The storm has abated and federal help is on the way, in case you haven't heard.
George fucking Bush took forever to respond to Katrina, long after the hurricane had moved on. This is NOT about politics and has nothing to do with who is taking what, yes?

I live in Fort Worth.

This is what happens when the planners aren't bright enough to consider weather like this which isn't all that drastic. Always spend more $$ for equipment that can handle it. I hope the citizens raise holy heck on the state.

weather like this which isn't all that drastic.
Inform yourself prior to making comments. Please. In a climate that has NEVER experienced this "drastic" weather it is drastic- it hasn't snowed in Houston in February 80 years- it has NEVER (in recorded History) seen temps this "drastic" for extended periods. What part of that do you not get?

I talked to a buddy up in Lubbock (500+ miles north of here) and he said their temp was 6 degrees- with a wind chill of -15 , while not uncommon up there it's not an everyday occurrence either.

I talked to a buddy in Dallas (200 miles north of here) who said their temp dropped to -1, Dallas and the Panhandle area (Lubbock) do get frigid temps but NOT extreme frigid- as in -1.

There were cold snaps recorded in the late 1800's that were worse. Buffalo hunters had to resort to killing a Buffalo and crawling inside to save themselves.

Not down here- that was on the Plains. Buffalo didn't stray this far southeast. I don't know where you're from, but south east Texas is all green, forests, swamps etc and very humid with relatively mild weather compared to further north- even Dallas and Fort Worth have harsher weather than we do and they are 200 miles north of Houston-

Today: ERCOT CEO said Texas was "4 minutes awaay from a month-long blackout". Another person has resigned from the board.

Disgusting.

Your not alone. Elections have consequences. I agree that Texan’s must be compensated for their suffering.
