zaanglo, I am trying to interpret your posts, in particular, post #395 above. Are you saying you got into an argument with a fellow protester who was armed at a protest you attended. Or were you too cowardly to attend the protest but felt righteous to criticize your friend who had the guts to protest the communist or whatever? Please explain further.

Then "friend" was a stranger who came in our city to protest for or aginst something. I thought he was from the left political spectrum. Although he was only on the way to the demonstration he had caused with his aggressive behavior fear in the eyes of an old lady. That's why I told him he should better behave. He answered with a storm of aggression and sounded like an animal when he tried to consternate me after I had done so. A comrade of him was able to calm him down. U-n-b-e-l-i-e-v-a-b-l-e how senseless agressive some people are able to be. Because he had no shoes I thought later the police had controlled this potential berserker and had confiscated all his weapons including his combat shoes.

And in general I think weapons are counterproductive to the right "free speech". The right "free speech" bases on the idea to be able to convince others - not to press others. So a demostration may start with 1 person and end with hundreds of millions, if this person his able to convince others. Greta Thunberg is perhaps a good example in this context. And whatever the opinion of anyone is - respect is the most important in such a case. Example: Weapons in a demonstrations because of the problems around the field "climate change"? Why? For what?
