Are You Ready for June?

Actually, with the speedloaders, it's closer to 4800 rounds - not "bullets". A bullet is the projectile loaded into the cartridge - and a "clip" is not a magazine - I add that as it seems you know very little about firearms.
I have no intrinsic need for any amount of ammunition. I do have a material need for the ammunition as it is required for my firearms to function. Actually, if used, the bulk of the ammunition would be for suppressor fire - provide a possible opportunity to flee a potential threat. If you feel absolutely safe where you are, I say cheese and crackers to you. Not all of us enjoy that luxury and make provisions to accommodate any uncertainties.

I even have more than one flashlight.

You misunderstood him.

Soon June will be here. I guess no reminder is needed about last June.

I have 700 rounds of 9mm loaded, 600 rounds of 5.56 loaded, 300 rounds of .308 loaded, all 32 speedloaders are full and for fun, 3000 rounds of .22 loaded.

If nothing else, I'll be ready for several range trips this fall.

Cheers
I think there will be riots, too.

I too have plenty of ammo but I also have a range out back. I know there will not be any riots in my area and don't believe there will be riots anywhere else.

At least that is what I wish for,

I was trollin' you, bro. This old deplorable right-winger probably has more ammo, firearms, and flashlights, myself. :04:

I loaded some .308 with IMR 3031.

I fired the bullets in my M1A.

The bullets were so slow they took 13 minutes for it to make it to the 100 yd target.

BTW, what should I do with this 2400 pieces of mixed 5.56 and .223 brass? I don't even own an AR, I'm more of an AK guy.

The 5.56 is USGI issue and has crimped primers. The crimp would have to be swaged out...

I use 3031 alot for the lighter .308, .312, and 6.5 Jap bullets. It's ok for up to 124 grain 30-06 but when I go up to a 147-180 grain, I use a slower-burning powder like Hodgdon 4350 or Alliant R-19. The heavier the bullet, the slower-burning the powder should be.

Screw OPSEC. At this point, I already know everything I own is gonna go up in a fire, while the FD hides behind the trees, listening to the rounds pop off.

I only used the 3031 because a friend of mine gave me some because I helped him reload some M1 Carbine.

I used 150 gr Hornady bullets. Just for plinking.

Not my powder of choice for the M1A or FAL.

Let me consult my reloading database...

Let's see: When I was loading .30 carbine I used Alliant 2400 for the 110 gr. bullet, but that was too slow of a powder.

I was going to use H110 which was a better powder, but I sold the darned thing.

Wish I'd kept it. The thing I learned about reloading for the M1 carbines was case length: Trim them too long and they can fire out of battery, blowing up a perfectly good rifle. Trim them too short, and you get light firing pin strikes.

I usually trimmed them to 1.286", but that could vary, depending on the rifle.
