I don't like them sneaking around my place even when I am home. Is that a district where it's a felony to possess lock picking tools and the cops carry batons, saps, and body bags to take care of vagrants sleeping in the hallways?

It isn't sneaking if they tell you they are going to do it. Odds are they will tell you once they have done it as well. I once walked in on someone doing maintenance without having the least clue as to who he was or why he was there. I just encountered a strange man in my apartment coming out of the bathroom who started chatting me up when I walked in the door. It was a bit of a strange thing until I figured it out. He had changed the furnace filters and was just checking for drips or leaks in the plumbing that might need attending to.

And trust me, he was not someone you wanted to chat up often unless you had time on your hands. Well Old Testament is pre-Christ so I am not sure it is that Christian, not that it really matters. People pick and choose what they want regardless. Either way, they haven't cancelled Alcoholic's Anonymous yet, and quite frankly, every recovered alcoholic I have knonw to go through them leaves me with the uneasy feeling that they just might be their own special church that just they know the inner secrets of--Mormon 2.0 perhaps. People coming out of their ranks seem very cultish.
