People gave their lives to end slavery and to reunite a country. But sure. Make the case that it was the wrong thing to do, and it was the fault of all Catholics, both then and now. The bible mentions one might become a slave, if so do your best for your master. true followers are slaves to God and his son and apply them first in all matters over self. They would never stand on both sides of wars of hatred= antichrist--(Jesus = LOVE, PEACE AND UNITY. At all times.
