CAIRO (AP) — Powerful Arab nations on Saturday rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s suggestion to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring Egypt and Jordan.

Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the Palestinian Authority and the Arab League released a joint statement rejecting any plans to move Palestinians out of their territories in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

Trump floated the idea last month, saying he would urge the leaders of Jordan and Egypt to take in Gaza’s now largely homeless population, so that “we just clean out that whole thing.” He added that resettling most of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million could be temporary or long term. Some Israel officials had raised the transfer idea early in the war.

According to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court "deportation or forcible transfer of population" constitutes a crime against humanity when it is "committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack," and entails "forced displacement of the persons concerned by expulsion or other coercive acts from the area in which they are lawfully present, without grounds permitted under international law".
The UN Security Council, UN General Assembly and UN Commission on Human Rights have condemned instances of forced displacement.

Arab nations don't want the nomads either. Nobody does

.

Show us where Trump suggested this.

And , "AP says" is not quite enough.

Ha! The so-called "Palestinian Authority" should not have a say in anything.

But I do get why the other countries does not want those low-IQ terrorists in their midst.

The Brits should resettle them in the South Georgia Islands.....After all, they started that mess then up and Runn-Oft.

I about bust a gut laughing when I read these countries refused to do the very same thing they expect Israel to do.

The International Court is a joke and is treated that way,

by virtue of the "ROME STATUTE" the rapist of mecca should
have been executed-----Dante got it right. See INFERNO 28

If Trump’s plan will work, I think it will require time. Im not optimistic, but you never know.

Of Israelis back to their homelands?
absolutely----jews have rightful claim in Arabia---specifically the city of Yathrib which was fraudulently renamed "medina" and obscenely used as a burial ground for the rapist dog of mecca.
I have family relatives born in OIL RICH ADEN -----thanks for your endorsement as to their ownership thereof. Gaza was the site of a gross attack upon the jewish leader SAMSON, historically-----it really should be taken up as a memorial to that hero. Itamar Ben Gvir has rights over the claims of any shiite or sunni in BAGHDAD where shiites and sunnis are new and unwelcomed INTRUDERS, MARAUDERS and---generally unwashed illiterate criminal rapists. There are Zoroastrians in
Mumbai India who have far more valid claims

The Arabs are going nowhere.
they've been going to no-wheres-ville since their
unfortunate inception. The term "arav" itself has no
specific meaning other than something like ---OUT THERE
IN THE STICKS. Even the language called "arabic" is not
specific as to its own origin
