Appeals Court Rules in Favor of DoJ to Allow Govt to Continue Using Documents Seized from Mar-A-Lago

Prove it.
Better yet, have DTrump prove it in a court of law.
Batter up, mon ami.

Trump does not have to "prove" he declassified any docs because the classified doc laws already stipulate it.
They all say that presidents and vice presidents are totally exempt from any classified doc law.
It has always been that way and always will.
That is because presidents are and have to always be authorized to conduct foreign diplomacy, and sometimes that included divulging classified information, even to our enemies at times.

I respectfully demur.
I read your link.
And I find most pertinent these observations:

  • "While it took long negotiations, the Trump team had previously turned over boxes of material to the National Archives."
"long negotiations"? Why?
These are 'Presidential records'....not personal records. These records are the property of the citizens of the United States. Any so called, 'negotiations' should have been....short and perfunctory.
There were....as best we know....NO such negotiations for access to Biden's or Pence's records.

-----------
  • "...Justice officials were unwilling to seek a consensual raid and maintained that the Trump team might move to hide or destroy evidence. Such actions would, of course, constitute serious federal crimes."
  • "The fact is that highly classified documents were found at Mar-a-Lago and past representations made by counsel were later challenged by the FBI as false. The Justice Department told the court that it believes that there was an effort to obstruct their investigation."

"highly classified material found".....'representations were challenged', 'subpoena ignored'.....whistleblower blowin' there was more, and where it was at, "effort to obstruct".....well, color me as just an naïve old farmer but, but, those are rather notable signals that there is mischief afoot. IMHO

Don Trump tried to bully, lie, and bluff his way to keeping highly classified material....for purposes we do not yet know.
He overplayed his hand.
OK, not a novel thing for him.
Let's see how it plays out for the game.

Wrong.
The ONLY thing that gives the public any connection to any government documents is FICA, and that can be satisfied by getting copies of classifies docs directly from the source that generated them.
At NO TIME does anyone need copies used by presidents or other members of government.
Presidential records ARE personal property of the president.
They are NOT public property at all.
There are many reasons for presidents keeping their own personal documents.
One would be to write memoirs, another would be for future personal reference, etc.

Can you get around FBI not wanting to go in and DOJ Trump haters wanting to go balls to the wall? And what was the reasoning between Trumps 'secret doc's and Biden's secret doc's at 3 or more locations?

The classified doc laws are all very clear in that they totally exempt presidents and vice presidents, who then legally can do what ever they want with classified docs.
Explain that to the grand jury and prosecutors...

Kinda 'funny' the same clowns who were involved in investigations regarding everything Trump, who fraudulently submitted FISA warrant applications, forged ahead with the disproven Steele Dossier provided by Buzzfeed, who later in court, said it was BS......are now crucial in the Mar-A-Lago 'raid'.

Dude, what you just called 'Magarats' were the same ones implicated in all these investigations which totally failed to implicate Trump.

DUDE...SUCK ON THIS:

Trump hating FBI/DOJ.

But everything is A-OK according to Christopher Wray's congressional testimony..................... :laughing0301:
NOT “the same ones” at all. The same agency… made up of literally thousands of disparate people… many of wh think just like you

I think his greatest danger is obstruction related to his playing a shell game with these documents. He played his hand once too many times. I predict two indictments. The first will be election meddling in Georgia. The second will be obstruction in the classified documents case. A third is possible, but it is down the road...that is related to his involvement in January 6

And what was the reasoning between Trumps 'secret doc's and Biden's secret doc's at 3 or more locations?
Cooperation.
Perceived 'sincere' cooperation.
Pence was perceived as cooperating.....likely embarrassed, but cooperating.
Biden was perceived as cooperating....likely embarrassed, but cooperating.

Don Trump and the enablers around him were not perceived to be fully cooperating, fully forthcoming, fully sincere. And that is understandably so, in light of more and more documents kept emerging despite the disclaimers that all had be returned. In light of stalling and playing rope-a-dope with the subpoena. In light of an inside 'whistleblower' informing that there were more docs....which proved to be the case.

Look, as we learned in the 2020 election....and as we learned from Don Trump's very own in-house highly-paid internal pollster....Tony Fabrizio....Don Trump is not perceived to be trustworthy by a wide wide segment of American society. Not only Democrats and Independents, but also Republicans.

Fabrizio polled Republicans after the 2020 defeat of Trump......and he discovered that very specific reason --lack of trust --- as one of two primary ones for Trump defeat. And he told Trump and his enablers exactly that in a 27-page report.

And they still went ahead with their 'Stop-the-Steal' scam.

So yeah, there is a credible reason why Don Trump was perceived not to be trusted in his retaining or returning docs that he inappropriately possessed.

You miss this:

George Tocas -

Toscas previously worked on the Crossfire Hurricane and Clinton email investigations. He reportedly pushed for a raid.
You know, Crossfire Hurricane where FBI trick f**ked the FISA court and a few other 'we hate Trump moves' . Yes, the same guy.

There ARE MAGArats in the FBI

In an effort to undercut Jordan, Democrats on the “Weaponization of Government” subcommittee released their own summary and partial transcripts of the committee’s first interviews with three former FBI agents, and the material is embarrassing.
Two of the three agents have embraced a discredited conspiracy theory that the FBI instigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Two of the three recently received cash payments and other help from a Donald Trump loyalist who used to work for the Trump administration. One of them wouldn’t even explain what he’d done to get suspended by the FBI.

LOL...................so absolutely no anti-Trumpers remain in FBI or DOJ?.....:auiqs.jpg:

So a left wing attack on people who are risking their careers and future with the government ....and the left is discrediting them?
Any poop on what they have provided to counter a democrat approved conspiracy theory?
The part I love best is you're too much of a punk to quote your claims.

Seems like the FBI was more than willing to do another consensual search.
But the Buckaroo's at DOJ were hell bent on a night raid. Some of which had their asses embarrassed in Crossfire Hurricane and the Hillary Files cases.
They say payback is a bitch, 'eh?

Cooperation.
Perceived 'sincere' cooperation

The senior FBI agents objected that they believe that a consensual search was possible without the necessity of a raid. It was main Justice officials who overruled them and insisted on the raid. What is most striking about the account is that FBI agents were raising the very concerns that some of us voiced after the unprecedented raid on the home of a former president.

Don Trump and the enablers around him were not perceived to be fully cooperating, fully forthcoming, fully sincere.

Steven M. D’Antuono, then the head of the FBI Washington field office was running the investigation and said that he considered the raid to be unnecessary and overkill. He wanted to arrange a consensual search. He reportedly even refused to conduct the raid without a direct order.
D’Antuono wanted to reach out to Trump’s lawyer, Evan Corcoran, who is a former Justice Department prosecutor to arrange the search.

In light of an inside 'whistleblower' informing that there were more docs....which proved to be the case.
Nothing has been 'proven'.

The democrats are very scared of these investigations. These investigations will expose all the lies they have been pedaling to people like you and others.

Democrats on Capitol Hill, at the White House, in agencies and in outside political groups are gearing up to do battle with the Republican committee chairs probing all corners of the Biden administration as well as the Biden family's financial dealings.
______________________________________
The significant effort at the outset is a sign of the danger the GOP investigations and their subpoena power pose to Biden's political prospects heading into his reelection.
______________________________________
Their plans include launching sustained attacks against the two Republicans expected to lead the most aggressive probes: Oversight Chairman James Comer of Kentucky and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio, who is also leading the new so-called weaponization of government subcommittee with a wide investigative mandate.
______________________________________
"I have never seen anything like it," Comer told CNN when asked about the Democratic efforts. "I have never seen an administration work so closely with outside groups to attack the investigators."
________________________________________
Democrats say they're also working closely with an outside political group, the Congressional Integrity Project, which is expected to play the role of messaging clearinghouse in the coming months.

Two of the three agents have embraced a discredited conspiracy theory that the FBI instigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol
Jordan’s spokesman said it’s “beyond disappointing, but sadly not surprising, that Democrats would leak cherry-picked excerpts of testimony to attack the brave whistleblowers who risked their careers to speak out on abuses at the Justice Department and FBI.”

The document highlights the fact that Friend and George Hill, another FBI agent who talked to the committee, have suggested in public statements that a man named Ray Epps helped instigate the attack on the Capitol as an undercover FBI agent.

This hasn't been disproven by any means.

In a series of public Twitter messages on Friday, Friend seemingly welcomed scrutiny of his case.

“The best thing the FBI, House Democrats, DOJ Inspector General, DOJ Special Counsel, and American media can do is investigate the veracity of my declaration,” he wrote.

One of them wouldn’t even explain what he’d done to get suspended by the FBI.
Democrats said another suspended FBI agent, Garrett O’Boyle, wouldn’t tell them why he’d been suspended, except to say his suspension notice claimed “an unidentified person … made an allegation that [he] had been making unprotected disclosures to the media.”

Scared of what? This is less than Durham
