Apparently there was a mask burning in Idaho today

Burn mask! Not Dr. Seuss!

Nobody burned Seuss. Have you ever met a Big Lie You didn’t want to marry? :rolleyes-41:

The left did a modern day book burning of the good Dr. Seuss

Sorry, the Seuss family and estate made that decision.
Need a hanky? :crying:

Many were stunned by the Seuss estate's decision, however, which was announced on Tuesday to coincide with Dr. Seuss's birthday. In a statement, Dr. Seuss Enterprises said it decided to discontinue those six titles last year, after consulting a panel of experts, including educators, to review its catalog.

I hope like hell these idiots drove into Boise from the sticks.
Would hate to think that I lived amongst them for 18 years. :icon_rolleyes:

Thank goodness they are doing something else with them besides throwing them don on the ground and walking off.

Six books nobody was reading also.

Boy they sure hate masks. They don't bother me one way or the other.

Sadly, Rump made masks a political issue. Had he set a good example, tens of thousands would be alive.
thats a stupid baseless claim. The masks don't stop the virus---and the big spread early on was that idiot cuomo and other dems purposely spreading the disease in nursing homes where the virus could more easily spread and kill more people.

Six books nobody was reading also.

Nope, they were very early books pretty much out of circulation anyway.
That didn't stop our resident Karens from bellowing "Awwwk - CANCEL CULTURE!!" :omg:

I saw the books they were talking about back in the 1960's and 1970's but you know I was more interesting in National Geographic to see topless aboriginal women.

So, who burned their mask today?

;)

It gave Trumpettes an idea for their six year old's next birthday. Pin the mask in the fire!

You blindfold 'em, spin 'em around three times and send them toward a raging cauldron of fire.

The first six y/o who gets his mask in the barrel, doesn't fall in, and doesn't pass out from plastic fumes wins a MAGA hat and a copy of Art of the Deal!

If a company wants to burn their own books then that is their business.

Evidently things changed in perspective of social norms in the 1970's. Which is not unusual, just as you don't see slavery as they did two hundred years ago.

The book has received only one textual revision. In 1978, Geisel agreed to a slight rewording, renaming the character who appears near the end of the story a "Chinese man" instead of a "Chinaman".[16] He also agreed to remove the character's pigtail and the yellow coloring from the character's skin.[17] However, he denied on multiple occasions requests from feminists to change the lines "Say—anyone could think of that,/ Jack or Fred or Joe or Nat—/ Say, even Jane could think of that."

I always though the books were over valued and pushed on society like they gave us something special. Then as you become a parent you discover they were to keep you busy and out of your parents way.
