A certain man makes a private remark to another man. The remark is crude, sexist, absurd, and implies that the speaker WOULD or COULD engage in acts that COULD be criminal, but would definitely be outrageous. There is no actual assertion that those acts were ever done or will be done in the future - just that they COULD be done, with impunity.

Unknown to the speaker, the remark is recorded on videotape.

Eleven years later, the videotape becomes public.

It is demanded that the speaker "apologize."

To whom? The ONLY person that the remark was directed to has taken no offense, and he apparently found it entertaining at the time.

In my world, you only apologize to people that you have wronged, either intentionally or carelessly.

Certainly, if The Donald had done those things to anyone (grabbed some woman by the privates, forced a kiss - other than a friendly kiss on the cheek), he should apologize to that woman or those women. But for his remarks? No way.

Your world is wrong. When running for Preisdent, you are accountable for everything you have ever said or done or everything you have not said or done.

Presidential candidates don't get passes.

Good. Then the Clintons should apologize to the families of all those informants or political enemies their cabal had murdered.

They should be charged with murder and tried. Contact the folks you vote for.

Why? They are just as stupid and "loyal to the cause" as you are.

Sure . . . if that were true.
